A few things to consider:

1. Has it passed your regular payday. (The day everyone else gets paid.) If not, Wait. It is most companies policy. Truthfully you cannot expect them to cut you a check immediately. (Not saying it is your case but I hear it allot and it is a myth that you can just walk in and demand your check before regular payday. Or even give them 24 hours.)

2. Do you still have uniform. ANY company has the right to hold funds until you turn it in. Same goes for employee handbook.

3. Was your drawer short your last day or week. This in particular is why you cannot just demand your check. The law (In Ohio; to my understanding, sides with the company.) All the company has to do is say they suspect shortage or slippage (missing property) and they need time to investigate.

So, if it has passed your regular payday, you turned in your uniform and have not had any shortages. Call human resources. And ask them nicely why.

The company you are referring to is a respectable company and will make good. If not, there always is small claimes court.

Call the Ohio Department of Labor. Call Skyline first and let them know you will be calling the State. Ohio states that an employer cannot hold wages that are due

Seriously! Tell them they have 24 hours by law to give you your last check are you will call the labor board on them! By law they are suppose to have a labor laws poster posted up usually around the time clock or in a break room. You can get the number from that poster! You tell them this and they will move!
