oh yeah you may need to do a crank relearn if it is out of sync

have you tried a tuneup yet? tey changing the spark plus and wires does it have a miss to it and also have you catalac convertor checked sometimes if they get clogged it backs up the motor and it wont run but may idel fine

check catalytic coverter. may be clogged. but understand cat conv are not normally the problem but the result of a problem. if it is clogged replace it and still do the tuneup or you may be replacing it again real soon

My pickup did this and it was the fuel filter
