I agree with this:
Family values is a political buzzword first used in the United States in 1966 to describe a set of moral guidelines for defining the proper structure and role of a family and its members, supported by appeals to tradition. The term can connote a conservative ideaology that supports traditional Christian morality or values. For example, the American Family Association, says "The American Family Association exists to motivate and equip citizens to change the culture to reflect Biblical truth and traditional family values."[1]
Typically, the term is used by the media to refer to Christian values, but in a New York Times survey, "Five percent of the women and one percent of the men defined family values as being connected to religion or the Bible. Nine out of ten women defined family values as loving, taking care of and supporting each other, knowing right from wrong and having good values."

how ever you are raised it is your parents right to raise you as they see fit .
like its cool that some guy in utha and colorado can marry a twelve year old and at any time they are free to walk away if they want and he has like 50 wifes how radical and prgressive this is if he askes his family to do something it is done and they teach this from birth.
BUT i do not see a big fence around them and a few have wondered off into the world and some have freely returned and others claim abuse .well you can only be abused if you are not free to leave and so far no one is imprisoned .
50 other wifes support the husband now thats a family but the good old usa does not beleive in a wealthy family with a strong leader. HE is a child molester and evil but everyone is free to go out in the world if they choose and some forced when they break the rules go figure that kind of control free to leave and they stay. must be something to this kind of life.

In reality, there is no one set of family values. They vary depending on the values and beliefs that someone was raised with. Many different cultures have different beliefs regarding the role of family in a person's life, and vice-versa.

no, trinitytough, the Bible isn't the only source of morality.
grey matter: censorship is a funny thing on which to base family values
family values are love, support, understanding, compassion, loyalty
hate and condemnation are NOT family values.
