Look, anyone who says global warming is a left wing conspiracy has two problems.
1: Paranoia
2: Denial
People in power are ignoring global warming because they make money off the companies that contribute to it. Al Gore is speaking his mind for his cause and should not be considered an idiot for being concerned. Wake up man.

As Al Gore points out in An Inconvenient Truth, Science magazine analyzed 928 peer-reviewed scientific papers on the subject published between 1993 and 2003. Not one dissented from the international scientific consensus-that human activity is dramatically increasing the earth's temperature, in ways that will bring severe consequences. But because of promotion by corporations like Exxon/Mobil of a handful of global warming deniers, over half the news stories during the same period presented the issue as if there were a serious scientific debate. In the wake of Katrina's devastation of New Orleans and efforts like the local cities initiatives and Gore's powerful film, citizens may finally be ready to acknowledge global warming and its consequences, though the Bush administration is proposing to cut $152 million from federal energy conversation programs.

yes global warming is nonsense, and al gore is an idiot for his self destructive, socialist mentality, but using the global warming ploy was quite bright if your objective is to fool large numbers of people into fearing, something beyond their control, to which they are willing to toss away a few more liberties.Because it is hard to disprove without explaining astrophysics, and billions of years of history, both of which are far more tedious, than watching a hurricane or a glacier melt and then claiming see the globe must be warming, to then make the leap to man caused this is equally simple for people do not want to research this and will lap up the next doomsday scenario, from the first authority who pronounces it. I would also like to add that both republicans and democrats alike seem to be pushing this nonsense.

He's not ignorant, he's cashing in on the ignorance of people like the ones who believe his alarmist views, which are NOT those of "99% of the scientists" like some think. There are at least 20,000 scientific experts who oppose his views. Global warming is not a fact, it's a theory among many theories. Sadly, it just happens to be the popular one among the uninformed masses at the moment.
Ok, people, no one thinks folks are standing around melting polar ice caps with blow torches. Please, get serious. Climate data don't support global warming. Storm data don't support the idea that storms are worse now than ever, just the opposite. Temperature data find that the average temp of earth has only gone up by one degree in the last 150 years. Check it out for yourself before you believe what you're told just because it fits your political agenda, or because you get a thrill out of doomsday predictions.
I live in Texas, and it's been pretty hot here, but it's just a HOT SUMMER. Like we usually get. It was 103 the day I got married in August ten years ago. It was hotter earlier than usual this year, but that was just because it was hotter earlier than usual, NOT global warming. Some years are hotter than others. The only thing that scares me is the people standing around saying, "Wow, it's hot, must be global warming!"

I live on the Gulf Coast and experienced a terrifying hurricane last year. It has been getting hotter here. And the storms are getting stronger. Why? Global Warming. To us, it is important. And why does it really matter what he thinks and what he teaches? Everyone has the right to believe in something.

Why don't you try reading a book...
Or is science one great left-wing conspiracy too?
If you believe that, then I've some tinfoil hats to sell you.
If you can't even use the arguments of the few remaining scientists who disagree with the findings (and they're listed in the link above) then you really shouldn't be spouting off at the keyboard.
Just makes you look like an ill-informed doofus.

You sound like just another paid tool and a not too bright one at that.
How would Liberals go about conspiring to melt the polar ice caps? Would they hire millions of illegals with blow torches to stand ***-deep in the show to melt the ice?

global warming has been around before we were. it destroyed the ice age and has gotten worse. its blamed on the ozone layer going away, but its been going away, getting hotter over the centuries. as far as al gore, he's like any other politition, they talk the game, but can't play it.
