Well it really depends because there are risky jobs and not-so risky jobs within every field of engineering. I think the main risk is if you are approving plans or designing products, you have to be sure they are completely safe for the public to use. Putting people at risk (as well as your career) is probably the worst thing that you can do as an engineer. Also working in a factory or plant environment always has its risks, but the chances of accidents occuring are usually pretty small. Electrical and Chemical Engineers get paid the most, though.

I studied mechanical engineering, and now i work in the US auto industry....great choice eh?
The best one in the one that you like best....if i had to do it over again, i wouldn't study engineering, it was too hard and took too much time, but I did start of making more loot that people that majored in, like chemistry or something.
If i had to do it over again, i would become a lawyer and go for the $$$$

electrical engineering...which can lead to a career in the aerospace industry, is the most in demand and has the opportunity to make the most money.

well, that depends on your interests, there is computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, so many kinds.
