Kudos to you for not relying on pain medicine. I think there's a time and place for tylenol/motrin, but my God...all I ever see on here is "give your baby tylenol." Do you guys have ANY idea what a number tylenol will do on an adults liver, much less an infant's/toddler's??
Try washing your hands thoroughly and letting her gnaw on your index finger. The First Years also makes a little tooth care set that comes with this soft rubber thing used for when a baby doesn't have teeth yet (it fits over your finger and you brush her gums), a thing that looks like a toothbrush without bristles (baby can hold it herself and chew on it) and an infant toothbrush. I found mine at Babies R' Us with the bath stuff/toothpaste.

have you tried teething tablets they work very well. you can get them at walmart. or you might try( i don't know what they are called) they are in the bottle pacifier area of walmart it's a mesh thing with a handle on it you could try to put cold veggies or fruits in it and see if she likes that. Good Luck. I know it's hard i have a 4 mon. old that is teething her canines!

Target sells these things...I don't know what they are called, but they're pretty much a mesh "bag" with a handle on it. (They are by the sippy cups) You put fresh/frozen fruit, veggies or baby cookies in it and the baby bites on it. Big pieces can't choke the baby because of the "bag" holding the food. I have been using them for my son for months now, and he loves to get fruit in it. I usually give him honeydew or cantaloupe in it. We started out using frozen fresh fruit, but now he gets fresh unfrozen fruit.
Also try a wet washcloth, that works too.

There is a teething tablet at Wal-Mart that is all natural, I used them on my first child, and now I use them on my teething twins!!!, They work pretty good, I don't give the twins anything else with it though. At night before bed I give them tylenol. Good luck sweetie!

My 8 month old daughter likes to chew on the noses of her stuffed animals. She also bites on the edge of her blanket. She hates teethers also. I also buy Sugar Free Icee Pops and let her chew on those (without removing the plastic).

Try some fruit juice popcicles, or my grandmother froze bananas adn they helped my 4 kids quite a bit, keeps them busy too! hope it helps. Just don't leave baby unatended, choking is always a factor for babies, but you already know that!

Teething Gel from Pharmacist or you can get herbal granules/powder to sprinkle in her mouth. A pacifier. Cold cucumber chunks to gum on. My son loves to chew/bite/suck wooden toys or his favourite blankie - see the giraffe blankie and wooden toys on on the Tish Tash Toys website. Also - remember - it doesn't last forever!

teething tablets by Hylands or the teething gel by hylands..
its homeopathic (natural)...Tylenol for infants if it comes down to it..like 2 drops form the dropper..VERY LITTLE! or Ibprofun..calms the nerves/muscles..also VERY LITTLE...or the oragel teething gels...
...Also water..cold water helps numb gums..give him/her a bottle of cold cold water...i use Nursery water..usually can be found @ walmarts/target..or even RO water(drinking water) is fine too.
frozen teething rings are also a plus..not ones put in the fridge. you can freeze any kind of teether ring with water filling.
or a mesh baby food feeder with an ice cube in it.Munchkin makes one..found at walmart/target/babies r us ect..

Juice pops! I think all 3 of my kids lived on those for weeks while their teeth were coming in, just make sure you brush or wipe their gums afterward. If you brush them it also seems to help them break through.
