i have honda civic 90' manual trans, if i turn it off then on again it will stay off for a little while and as long as i'm keep moving it stays off

Unfortunately, the engine light on most vehicles will illuminate as a result of many different "problems". One common one is is you didn't close your gas cap enough to make it click. Anyway, since it is coming on and your car is running crappy, you better take it in and have them hook up the computer diagnostic to see what the problem is.

Are you out of gas? Fuel pump going out? Junk in the fuel tank that is clogging the fuel filter? Bad O2 sensor?

Take the car to a repair shop immediatly.

IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS, A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CAN CAUSE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM,
BUT THE ON BOARD COMPUTER SHOULD BE SCANNED FIRST TO CHECK FOR ANY FAULT CODES.
