The meaning of life is that there is no meaning of life. The very concept of giving life meaning is just a symptom of Man's perpetual need for control. Man is an animal...a biological organism existing on this planet among millions of other organisms. Man is an animal filled with fear. Man fears his own mortality because the end of life is nothingness. Out of this fear, Man creates religion (from Buddhism to Islam to Hindu to Christianity) to falsely give Man control of life and beyond. The same fear breeds Man's hunger for control giving birth to rules, laws, tribes, states, governments, and nations.
Break it down to basics: an animal is born, eats, sleeps, and propagates its own species, and then dies at the end. It does not contemplate right or wrong, good or evil, whether it will go to heaven or hell...for the animal neither exists. Why does Man and no other creature need such concepts? Because Man is afraid....afraid to face the truth that life is just simply that...LIFE and no other. Each of us is born, we sleep, we laugh, we cry, we grow, we learn, we eat, we have sex, and we die.
The meaning of life (to satisfy those who seek it) is simply to live life, breathe, eat, sleep, and propagate the human species (by having sex). It can not be more simple or complex than that...everything else is just fodder to fill the empty air around it. Remember: BORN, BREATHE, EAT, SLEEP, HAVE SEX-------that is LIFE and nothing more.

If you take a look at other world religions in comparison to Christianity and analyze how these four questions are dealt with, it is quite illuminating. Origin, meaning, morality and destiny…all of these questions have to be answered in two ways. Every particular answer must correspond to truth, either through empirical form of measurement, or through the logical reasoning process. When those four answers are put together they must cohere, and not be incoherent. Again, two tests, correspondence and coherence. I guarantee you this; only in the Judeo Christan worldview will you find those four questions answered with corresponding truthfulness and with the coherence of a worldview.
Here is just one example to think about. The Koran is the only historically “claimed” document which denies that Jesus Christ was actually crucified and died on a cross. Here are the facts; the Greek historians say he died in this manner, Roman historians record he was crucified, Pagan historians say the same, not to mention Jewish and Christan Historians. The Koran is the only book that says it “appeared” that he died, but he didn’t actually die on a cross. So historically, the Koran is making an affirmation that is really historically untrue.
Now, I am not pointing this out to try and stir up an argument but rather an honest reflection. As a Christan, and once skeptical of my own faith I had to deal with the bible and it's claims, objectively. Despite my own secular, "scientific," and politically correct culture, I was surprised to learn that biblical claims can be validated rationally, objectively, scientifically, and historically .On the other hand, Islam cannot do this. Many Muslim arguments are circular, and do not allow for outside objectivity. They deny basic archaeological findings, other historical writings, and the list goes on. If Allah is the one true God and Muhamad his messenger, I suspect that Allah could preserve his word, without error, throughout all time, and through other languages. Many Imams teach that the Koran can only truly be understood in Arabic...Mmmm?

Life in general has no meaning. Each and everyone of us go through Birth, Old age, Sickness & death. Though we take up the cross and follows our saviour, we still don't really understand the meaning of life fully. some people told me that Life is a cycle...we go through different phases in order to mature. Perhaps life itself has nothing to do with meaning. maybe life should be left not to be understood at all.

Answer to The Ultimate Question Of Life, the Universe and Everything
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something more bizarrely inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

to live every minute up to your fullest like it's going to be the only time left cause it could be. It's to change the bad ways of the world by being good and not only following your heart, but your brain. That's only my meaning of life though. Only u can say what your meaning of life is

OK... Here's the best answer... No doubt about it.
To do in life what it takes to prevent your life from ending with your death. To do what it takes to be called to memory a thousand years after you're physically gone. Preferably for something positive, as opposed to the likes of Hitler, Hussein and other hindrences to humanity and harmony.

To help others be more happy in there lives, this you attain more happiness to your self, but other need to come first.
I would also say enlightenment, but that come up to be more complicated, and the meaning of life shift from day to day with that approach..
