Unfortunately, probably not. They're much improved and their front office seems to be really serious about winning. However its hard to have to compete against both the Red Sox and Yankees. Especially when both are playing good baseball this year. Then you toss in the year that the Tigers and White Sox are having. Its almost impossible for the Blue Jays. Likely 3 of the 4 previously mentioned teams will make the playoffs and the Blue Jays will be on the outside looking in. So they won't have a shot at the series.

It will be tough, as they will have to beat out the Yankees and Red Sox, but they have a shot. Anything can happen once you get to the playoffs. The key will be what they do at the trade deadline. You have to believe the Yankees and Red Sox are going to make themselves better, so the Blue Jays must do the same. They are 7-4 against Boston this year and 2-3 vs. the Yankees, so they have held their own so far, but there are a lot of games left, especially vs. the Yankees.
The Wild Card is virtually out of the picture unless the Tigers or White Sox falter, the Jays are closer to the division lead than they are the wild card.

The question should be:
--- Do the Blue Jays have a shot at the American League Eastern Division?

Any team that is as close to the division leader as the Jays DOES have a shot. However, it's only half the season over, we'll see what happens down the stretch when every game means something.

Hell yes they have a shot.
They are legit this year.
Glad to see that AJ is off the DL and hopefully back for good. Hopefully Alex Rios will be okay, and back in the lineup soon as well. Pretty strong lineup overall with the pickups in the offseason, although I wish Glaus' BA was a bit higher. He's hangin out in the "DUNN" range. BJ Ryan is also a stud.

I dont think so. Maybe in a few years, but the Red Sox are too good. The Jays will finish ahead of the Yankees tho.

They're a long shot, but have an outside chance. They may be just one player away and the trading deadline is still a month away. You can't not like a team that has Roy Hallyday on it - he's probably the most underrated pitcher around.

If they get another starting pitcher.
Btw I think they are more of a threat to the Red Sox then the Yankees
Yankees/Red Sox rivalry is so old that it is on a walker

Mathematically, yes; but realistically, no. They are getting better. Maybe 2 or 3 years from now, theyll be ready.
