To me Andre is t he greatest player of all time. He is such fun to watch. Some of the players they say are great just have no personality. Andre contributes more to tennis than just playing. He makes it interesting and does such wonderful charity work.

The top eight players in overall points, with their number of first-place votes, were: Rod Laver (9), John McEnroe (3), Don Budge (4), Jack Kramer (5), Björn Borg (6), Pancho Gonzales (1), Bill Tilden (6), and Lew Hoad (1). McEnroe was still an active player and Laver, Borg, and Gonzales had only recently retired. In the imaginary tournament Laver beat McEnroe in the finals in 5 sets.

The Marino argument is irrelevant. Football is a team sport, and it can be argued that his teammates "dragged him down". Tennis is not a team sport, you win or lose on your own.

Yes, he is one of the greatest to ever play. He is one of the best all around players with the amazing ability to change his game in the middle of the match in order to better withstand his opponent.

I think that he is up there with the best of the best! I wish that he didn't stop, his body just wouldn't let him go on. If he would have keeps going he could have passed the best!
