SOOOO stupid. 2 hours of nothing but 2 people floating in the water. guess "open water " should have ben a big clue, though huh?

It was kinda stupid, I hate movies that take place in one little area for 2 hours, basically the movie was 2.5 hours of a couple freaking about the school of sharks swimming around them 2,000 miles from the coast. Lame! No one even died til the end, and it was only one of them.... I think...

I did not pay 6 dollars to watch two idiots floating around in the water for and hour and a half. Thanks but no thanks. I can't believe I actually finished the whole movie. I liked the ending, b/c frankly I think they both got what they deserved. Sorry, I hated the movie.

It was alright. Interesting concept and backstory, but I don't really think it's for the mainstream audiences.
What I *did* like about it, was how it was filmed. A narrative film shot in a documentary/rough kind of style. Props to that.

It was a nod to good advertising though - lots of us got caught in the hype and went to see it and came out disappointed that we wasted time and money on something made for saturday television.

the movie was average at best, but the fact that it happens on a regular basis is very disturbing

The story itself was not bad, the acting was horrible. and if both of them died, how does anyone know what actually happened to them. so most of it is speculation.

totally whack! whole movie was bleak and bland and black............. crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy amd yeah stupid. does that actress jennifer conelly smile in ANY movie???? I think not...............
