A tampon should be changed every 4 hours, I don't think you will swim for 4 hours, will you?
Just change it more often if you are afraid that anything could happen.

For as long as is healthy otherwise. If you normally swim for about an hour, then that is how long the tampon can stay in. It is a good idea to remove the tampon soon after you are out of the water, and replace it with a fresh one.
The instructions that come with the package may have other, better ideas on this.

it's just like doing other activities...how ever long that u are swimming for you should be fine
