When endometriosis moves to the lung causing it to collapse, it is called Catamenial Pneumothorax. There is a new book just released called Living With Lung and Colon Endometriosis: Catamenial Pneumothorax.

"Living With Lung & Colon Endometriosis: Catamenial Pneumothorax" by Glynis D. Wallace - I assume that's you, "Glyn" - is a great book. Well done. You are to be commended on your efforts. I've recommended your book to some folks on here and elsewhere in the Endo community.

Not necessarily endometriosis, but our my family's experience with endometrial cancer was sure a shocker!

My mother, grandmother, both aunts, and three of my four sisters and I have had hysterectomies. Recently, my mother died from cancer of the lungs, and her death certificate identified the cancer as endometrial cancer.

I was twenty one when I had the hysterectomy, and had been on HRT for years, believing I was safe from the cancer causing side effects of HRT.

My mother had had her hysterectomy forty years before she developed the cancer of the lining of the uterus which metastasized to her lungs.

The pathologist reaffirmed his diagnosis. The death certificate was not in error, he said.

So how can this happen?
