Most of these seem to be close. I do not believe the whole mark of the beast thing but will not get one or put one in family or pets just in case. They do not cut you open they inject it with a needle.
Mainly used in pets to track them when they are missing. The Government can not put one in without your consent if they could that they would have one in all military personnell. Then it would be easy to find them if held hostage.

Basically, an implant chip is just a microscopic computer chip that's implanted just under the skin, (in a person or animal), that contains certain information about whatever it's implanted into.
I adopted a kitten from the animal shelter & she has a "chip" implanted into her neck. This chip contains certain information, about the cat & where I got her from. Should she get away or get lost and she's returned to the shelter they can retrieve the info that's on the chip & return her to me!! It could also work as a tracking device in some instances.

An implant chip can be used to monitor a patient after surgery or if someone is exhibiting symptoms that need to be watched. It can also be used as a tracer if someone wanders off or something like 24 and they want to track someone. It is placed under the skin by making a small incision, sliding it in and then sewing them back up.

Chips are implanted under the skin of a person or animal that you want to be able to find using Global Positioning Satellite. I think in the near future it will become a requirement. The governments of the world will use it to find criminals, kidnapped children, etc. They will also use it as a means of identification in banks, stores, etc. It will, I believe, become the mark of the beast spoken of in Revelation in the Bible.
