In many states you can change your political affiliation at your local county courthouse. The office of the public official who is responsible for voter registration --called the "County Clerk" clerk in many localities -is the place to go to do this.
Rules vary among states on whether you need to officially change your political party affiliation to be eligible to vote in a primary election. Some places allow a registered voter to declare their political party affiliation at the polling place on primary election day--while others do not.
You can also check out the rules that apply to your state by contacting the local League of Women Voters or by contacting the Secretary of State's office in your state. They know the rules!

I have no idea what a polotical party is.
If you want to switch your political party affiliation, all you have to do is fill out a new voter registration card, and note the change there!

You don't have to file paper work or anything. You are already affiliated with whatever party you like when ever you like it.
You can vote however you want no matter what you have on record.
P.S. It's a good idea to not go on record with you party affiliation. It could be used against you. I can't tell you how many awful things I've done to people who slip up and get mail from the GOP, lol.

If possible, go your your local county clerk's office and request a change in political party on your voter card. The updated info on your voter card will then be mailed to you later.

It is easy - just re-register. You can pick up a voter registration form at any post office or library.

You can vote for anyone you wish, regardless of party. Now, if you want to switch your party... that's a tough one. First, they'd have to want to be switched... Second, they'd have to agree with you on what to be switched to.
