CNN:
"The trouble appeared to start when Germany midfielder Tim Borowski gestured towards the Argentina players to "keep quiet" having scored his penalty to make it 4-2 in Germany's favor."

"Borowski said Argentine players had made "certain movements" to try to provoke him before he took his penalty."

icnetwork:

Germany captain Michael Ballack said, "The first provocation came from Argentina. They were shouting at our players when they were walking to the spot and, although it was in Spanish and we didn't understand, they were trying to put us off.

"When Lukas Podolski scored he put his finger to his lips and said 'shut up' and they didn't like that."

---

So far, looks normal, where both teams are trying to put nervous the other team. But seems like later, when Argentina was eliminated Germans made fun after Argentineans missed the last penalty. Later Oliver Bierhoff (the man in black) get involved and some said he made some RACIST commentaries and gestures, turning thing worst. Anyway this has to be proved.

Blatter said:
"What I always say is in football you learn to win, but you also have to learn to lose."

Maybe this is a case where both act in worn manner, Germans didn't know how to win and Argentines didn't know how to lose.

What I find more remarkable is what both team managers said
(quoted from www.theage.com.au ) and probably they understand much better situations like this...

Klinsmann put it down to the heat of the moment. "I'd like to remind people that in football, there is so much tension, so many emotions and if it goes all the way to penalties, someone can lose control.

"Football is just so emotional. It's just normal. It's no big deal, no problem at all."

Pekerman added: "At times, emotions run away with themselves at a match and it's not what we feel.

"Germany and ourselves have great respect for each other and this was a thing in the heat of the moment."

Of course there are people who will blame Mou, what did you expect? I don't blame Mou for his selections on the whole, every fan won't agree with every selection though. I agree Kaka had to be benched for Ozil, no doubt. I agree Pepe had to be benched for Varane although with Varane injured and the cup final approaching I did not agree with not putting Pepe even on the bench, and instead playing Albiol... Pepe is much better than Albiol... he simply didn't like Pepe's comments about the Casillas situation. I also agree that if Lopez is better form than Casillas then yea play Lopez, everyone should start based on form BUT he's not just picking Lopez on form, he's getting personal, he's taking pot shots at Iker to the press which is no way to run a team, you do not make enemies. He said his biggest regret at RM was not signing Lopez in 2009 (even though Casillas was brilliant until this season even up for Ballon D'or with his performances in 2012, brilliant in Euro, League and CL) and that, regardless if Iker regained his form, he would always prefer Lopez.... those comments are completely unnecessary and damages team moral. He's completely lost control of the dressing room, you think RM playing so bad and flopping is simply because the players are big game flops? No, obviously it goes much deeper than that, the team is no longer responding to Mou, whether Mou has failed to address problems such as right back, set pieces, strikers form etc or that the players are not responding to him, it's still a managers issue... if you can't get the best from your players then what did you expect? These players are capable.. Every game I watch Mou is ready to leave the pitch before the final whistle, he doesn't wait until the end of the game, win, lose or draw he hangs around the entrance of the tunnel on the 89th minute. The players are to blame and so is the manager and I think it makes more sense to get rid of the manager rather than the players. I would never blame Mou, both the players and Mou have failed and it's time to move on, the relationship has broken down (it happens) and that's it, that's football It's a bit rich coming from a Chelsea fan though... their fans always turn on their managers and with all the ''class'' players they got they should do better than 6th and 3rd place finishes in the league and 3rd in the group stages of CL

Seems like the Argentines got lost in the heat of the moment and were successfully distracted and knocked off their game by pettiness.

According to the Argentine paper Clarin, Heinze, Sorin, and Leandro Cufre, a bench player, were pissed off at the way some of the German namely manager Oliver Bierhoff, Podolski, and others taunted them before the final penalty shot. Frings responded that the Argentines were sore losers.

It was pretty cool and mature how Lehmann trotted off in the locker room past all of the scuffle after having won the game.

Soccer is an emotional game. It hurts to lose in front of your god-idol (Maradona). The Argentinians were angry at something that Oliver Bierhoff said or gestured at.

Having said that, I think that the Argentinians should go back to youth soccer and learn how to graciously accept defeat.

Just because Maradona was great, doesn't mean you should win every time.

Mature a little and then come play in 2010.

Except for "ig" who was the only concise response all the rest who said that Argentinians doesn't know how to manage failure, well let me tell you,,,because they are winners,,,,you can't go through life learning how "nice" it is to lose,,,,go through life learning how to stand up and be proud and being always the best,,, like Argentina, even when you are defeat it.
They did not pick up the fight, Some Germans players did.

because Argentina are acting very well... they received lots of money from the Bookie to ask them pretend to lose and get angry... understand? there is no such thing as fair play, it's Bookie playing Fifa game...see which bets are more and they adjust accordingly...
