Unless you are a walking zombie, you are not 48 pounds like the others have assumed, maybe 148 pounds or 48kg!!
Eat plenty of carbs and proteins. Vegetarians can always take whey protein supplements. Work out your daily calorie intake and increase it by 500 extra calories or a 1000 or whatever it takes to put on weight.
Work hard at it. Thin people find it very difficult!

ok your a vegeterian, well you say your diet is "ok" but vegetarians are supposed to get monthly "protein shots" their supposed to make sure you get have a healthy bones and body while respecting the animal kingdom.this weight of 48lbs. is not even healthy for young kids the age of 8-12 none the less a 24 year old man . it is reasonable for someone who is 5-7. you should take a long over due visit to a dietician or phyciatrist. they can perscribe drugs and medications that can help you get a more fuller face and life. also as a kid have you had "body issues" or been concerened about your weight? because if you have than you may be diagnosed as "manorexic or belumich" look-up the syptoms of anorexic and belumic and see if any of them match you, if they do, even one,you might want to see about support groups, or talk to a doctor who specializes in body issues and these two dieseases,they should help you find a reason why you feel this way (that you should be so skinny) or a diagnosis of why you have such a small body mass or a way for you to be "well built". you should try to get a body weight of 140 or 160. it is hard to gain 100 lbs. and if you live and lead a healthy life style,than this will be almost impossible. again try going to a doctor, this wear and tear on your body is dangerous and can lead to numerous visits to the hospital. see a doctor before this gets to serious and if you are anorexic or belumich see a doctor, these two dieseases are unable to cure by yourself. these dieseases are considered to be a "womens plight" but studys show that it is now not uncommon for them to show up in men of all ages, cultural and lifestyles. this is serious, and make sure you follow all this advice.

Doctor. There might be something that is keeping you from gaining weight. And being a vegitarian should not have that effect. I have known a few vegeterians that have never been that small. SEE A DOCTOR!
