Lee Oswald had defected to the Soviet Union. He had been interviewed on TV as a communist and Castro sympathizer. Should the president's security have been aware that this guy was working in a building on his rout and kept an eye on him?

The thing is that in America we couldn't just arrest someone for saying the were a commie. The Secret Service could have done better, but there would still be a chance of Oswald getting through. But the question is, was Oswald the killer? There is much evidence going both ways.

Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill the president; the Mafia did! Their are men in the secret service that helped plan the assassination of JFK. They were paid off by the mob. The Kennedy brothers were going after the labor unions. The WHOLE SYSTEM FAILED and then COVERED IT UP! FOLLOW THE MONEY!
Kennedy's assassination was nothing more than a well orchestrated MOB hit!

Don't believe it!! Lee Oswald was just a fall guy for the mob. JKF's presidency was bought for him by the mob. JFK was supposed to do certain things, pass certain laws & basically be "secretly" run by the mob. When he starting defying & going against them on his own, that's when they decided they were going to get rid of him. LHO was the perfect "fall" guy because there wouldn't be any ties to the mafia. Just like brother Ted & the "Chippaquiddick" thing - BIG Cover Up!!

No. Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill Pres Kennedy. The assassination was a much bigger scheme than he. Besides, he was known to be a poor shot with a rifle.

Depends. Were there rougue elements within the Secret Service who wanted Kennedy dead? How could anyone protect Kennedy? His policies provided way too much to shoot at. Removing the bullit-proof dome just b/c the President wanted it removed was indeed unprecedented. When it comes to security, not even the Prez can over-rule the security detachment assigned to protect him/her or other "travelers" (dignitaries).
