You can't take it off yourself. Just drive to the nearest JC Pennies, with your reciept, take the skirt with you, and tell them they forgot to remove the security ink tag. They'll do it for you in no time.

Definitely take it back to the store. Wire cutters?! Are you kidding me. Not only will you release the ink, you'll cut a huge hole in the skirt. And, it would take just as long to cut it off as it would to go back to the store. What if you ruin it? Then you definitely don't have it for tomorrow.

The only way to remove it without damaging the clothes is to take it back along with the receipt to a nearby J.C. Penny's. It was put on there to stop people from shoplifting so if you try to remove it yourself it will damage the clothing.

Well thats a hard on umm the ink might burst if you try to get it off there you really might need to go to a store that has those things and ask if they can take it off and show them the recept so they dont think you stole it!! Or if it was me i would just take it back and have them take it off!

dont pull upwards. I work retail and see it all the time! I suggest getting wire cutters and cutting the metal part. or supporting either side of the tag that doesnt have ink and push the middle. But wire cutters might work better! good luck

thathappened 2 my friend ince the thing was still on and she gave it 2 some1 as a gift and she had no idea until the3 person opened it u need 2 go back and get it off ppl will think u stole

You may damage the material if you try to do it. Sometimes if you have the receipt another store will remove it for you. I've done that before.
