I think an Italian accent is graceful and refined; a Russian accent is mysterious; a Japanese accent is *adorable*; but best of all is the ethereal and charming Irish accent.

I like the southern-US accent best, especially along the south-east near the coast as opposed to Louisiana or approaching the Midwest. It has a nice drawl, slow and easy, like a languorous river or a long, sunny afternoon, but still stays coherent. Scandiavian and Germanic accents sounds somewhat melodic, which is surprisingly pleasant, at least when spoken softly enough. I also like the accents from Africa (especially Western and ex-French Africa) and the Caribbean, which to me sound very musical. Central- and Southern-American Spanish/Portuguese is also attractive for the fluidity of the language. I don't really like any European romance-language accent, since they have a strange tempo to me and don't mesh well with English. British accents are too often assumed for them to have any worth to me any more, but Aussie still sounds exotic, as does Irish. Slavic, like Bulgarian or Russian, seems almost as if the speaker has a cold; Indian has similar wierd sounds which make these both unenjoyable. I also don't like far-eastern accents like Chinese or Japanese, since they are very poorly-suited to English sounds.

I love an Australian accent,especially on a guy,it's sexy.Irish is pretty cool too,I don't really like any others.

It's very hard to understand some those accents. Everytime i call custmer service i have to hanh up cause i can't understand them.

Im quite content with my English accent thank you very much. American mid-western accents annoy me though..i dont know why, i just see them as whiny. Welsh just sounds so...slow. I like the scottish accent..and the German actually, i think its quite,..i dunno, they sound so 'touristy' speaking english, lol
