If you're old enough to work, you're old enough to file your own taxes. You can NOT work at Hooter's solely on tips but, even if you could, you still have to claim taxes on your tips (sucks, doesn't it?). Welcome to adulthood!
So, work there and file your own taxes. You can get the forms at the library or at the Post Office or on-line (www.IRS.gov). You can file this even if your father still claims you on his tax return. It's what I did in high school and college!

Your question is pretty muddled, but if I understand you..you still live with your father and he declares you as a dependent. Whether or not you are a dependent is a definition put out by the IRS and it is either true or not. You cannot just decide one way or the others but......
If you were the one that worked the job, YOU will have to file your own tax return. This is true even if you are still your father's dependent. Your dad can't claim your income and wouldn't want to, because that would mean he'd pay more taxes.
And NO you can't work only for tips. That is a violation of the labor laws in all the states.

Again, just like your previous question, you cannot work at a national chain restaurant on tips alone. It is not legal. Why does your father get your tax return. Just do it yourself. At your age, a tax return would be easy. Either file your own taxes or you will have to get another job.

It’s a national restaurant chain. They have to have a W2 for tax purposes. If you’re too ashamed to tell your parents you work at Hooters, then you shouldn’t work there. It’s not an “adult” establishment – and I have seen entire families there. You’ll get hit on every hour and guys will ogle you, but if you don’t mind it go for it. Personally, I don’t like the breading they put on the wings. You should go work at Buffalo Wild Wings or Wings N Rings.

If you work at Hooters, you shouldn't have a problem getting someone else to do your taxes for free.

Either get a different job or have someone else do your taxes...... or face the music and your Father's opinion.
