Any suggestions on where to take my car in my area it might need a new transmission I got it diagostic on it?

they said i need new transmission.. it is still drivable but i only take it short distances. They quoted me 1450 for rebuilt transmission is that good price. I don't know of any mechanic that does everything. I got to a mechanic but he does to everything just small stuff.

Car dealership or a local garage but research before u go by check on prices.
