Because he wears glasses. Nobody would expect Superman would need glasses.

Just saw Superman Returns last night and the first thing I said to my friends as the credits were rolling was, "Okay, so Lois and Superman obviously slept together because now they have a kid but she still doesn't realize he's Clark Kent?"
. . .Wow
It's a little sad that these people are around him all the time and haven't put it together yet. Ah well, I guess it's all about having a level of suspended disbelief when watching the movies or reading the comics. Still it amuses me. :)

Can you say "suspension of disbelief"? Seriously, I've heard (depending on the creative team working on Superman) that he subconsciously vibrates his face so fast that no one gets an accurate image of him. Since you and I read the comic that's the "window" into Superman's world, we are not affected by that fogging effect. In real life, I agree that it certainly wouldn't take much to put two and two together.
People tend to hold onto their ideals of a superhero so even when the truth is presented to them, they deny it. When John Byrne was working on Superman in the late eighties, Lex Luthor actually learned Clark Kent and Superman, based on physical similarities and similar life circumstances, were the same person. But he didn't believe it because he thought someone with Superman's power would never waste it on heroics but rather use it . . . well, the way Luthor would if he were Superman.
It's human that we try to mold heroes to fit our ideal of them, even unconsciously. Lois and the others at the Daily Planet have had numerous opportunities to put two and two together, but the simplest explanation (that Clark Kent changes into Superman and vice versa) is ignored because it doesn't gel with their idea of Superman. If we met Clark Kent (archetype of someone mild-mannered and nondescript) on the street, would he gel with ours?

Breamic is the closest to the correct answer.
In the comic books, protecting the secret identity was originally accredited to "Super Hypnosis", subconsciously projected by Clark whenever he wore his glasses.
The difference in his voice (higher for Clark, lower for Superman) was originated by Bud Collier when he first voiced the role for the Max Fleisher cartoons and later the Superman radio drama.
The spine compression was originated by Christopher Reeve in his first movie as the Man of Steel.
The slightly vibrating face trick was originated by John Byrne for Superman to prevent anyone getting a clear photo of him in public.
Put them all together, and you have how Superman protects his secret identity today.

I remember reading in a comic book that Superman was able to compress his spine making Clark Kent a couple inches shorter, plus he is able to completely change his voice as Clark, and for those closest to him he uses a subtle super-hypnotic suggestion to keep them from recognizing him. But I think everyone knows, but don't say anything because they don't want to embarrass the Man of Steel.....I mean glasses as a disguise....come on!

To quote the character Tempus from the "Lois and Clark" TV series, having come back from the future and trying to explain when Lois never realized that Clark was Superman, said, "They are still asking the utilmate question in my time --'How dumb was she?'"

That's why it is called a secret identity. Whatever happens, Superman would always hide his secret identity as Clark Kent unless he chooses to reveal it.

Because Clark Kent tricks them all into thinking he's weak and couldn't possibly be the man of steel...even without the glasses

It's like when Bugs Bunny puts on a dress and lipstick and Elmer Fudd can't recognize him, and they end up getting married. Sometimes you just have to suspend disbelief.
