that is so good that you guys waited after marriage to decide to have kids.... you can provide them with a stable environment to grow up in! but yes it is normal to feel like that! parenthood is a big deal and MILLIONS of thoughts run through your head all at once.... but as long as you love them, take care of them the best you can, and be there for them... it will be no problem!! good luck!

Yes.It's always a mixture of feelings and you will always feel this way whether it's your first child or fifth. You shouldn't do anything about these feelings because it's okay to feel nervous and excited.Children are the most beautiful gifts that God gives us.Just take care of your wife and support her emotionally. She will have alot of mixed feelings from the time she gets pregnant and for the rest of that child's life.As long as you love each other and think you are ready(no matter what you will never be ready and that's part of life and normal too), then go ahead and do it.Good luck. Also, since your thinking about conceiving, get your wife to start taking over the counter folic acid. It's a vitamin that will help the baby grow healthy and it is recommended that the woman start taking it before she conceives.Good luck..

You don't have to do anything about these feelings. They are normal feelings. It is very exciting to think about starting a family and it is twice as nerver racking. You're excited because you dream about how your kids will look and how happy they will make you. And your nervous because you're worried if you will make a good father, will you be able to afford them, etc.
These are all normal feelings. But believe me, it always works out. You go into automatic once those kiddies are here. Take it slow and enjoy the ride.

You are bound to feel nervous but as long as you are "excited nervous" and not "terrified nervous" then there is nothing to worry about. Having children is a major turning point in your life and I can't imagine how anyone would not get nervous about such a big commitment. As long as you feel you are ready to commit the next 18+ years to raising a child then forget about the nerves and have fun making those babies! :)

Don't worry, those feelings are natural and VERY common. Make sure you are aware that after the child is born, she will go through physical and emotional changes. Be prepared for this. She will become depressed and YOU will have to be her support group. Good luck.
