You got it all wrong, but its your opinion and I only can tell you what mine is. Did you realize that even though Harry is very famous, rich and not at all bad looking he doesn't have parents, sometimes feels depressed and has to bear a lot of responsibility? And he has endured a lot of terrible things thanks to his fame, and still he seems to me like a pretty normal teenager trying to survive and findd himself. Also the other thing you dont realize is that also Hermione and Ron both also have many faults, for example Ron values fame over friendship and for Hermione used knowledge to be more impotrtant than anything. Another thing is that when uou usually ask someone which of the HP characters is their favourite they rarely say Harry Potter, and so do Hogwarts students in books, just look at the . book Goblet of fire or Order of the Phoenix. The thing that makes Harry even less spoiled rich kid is that he would give up everything of that only if he could get back Sirius and his parents and stop the evil that Voldemort is causing. Think about it

Harry Potter gets all the credit because he was chosen by Voldemort to be his equal. Ron would never go head on into a dangerous situation just because it was there to go into, if you pay attention you'll see that Ron is usually quite reluctant and rather scared of most of the situations. Hermione is definitely intelligent and does well at figuring out the more obscure riddles as to what creature is hunting the trio this year, but again she would never willingly plung into danger just to do it. She and Ron are along for the ride, the become accomplices simply out of loyalty to Harry. Yes, Harry is rich, yes he's a jock (so is Ron, who happened to win the spot as Keeper on the Quiddich team), but spoiled? Look again. He has no real family, his aunt, uncle and cousin treat him like subhuman garbage. The first book found him living in a cupboard for Pete's sake. I suggest you read the books and open your mind to them instead of simply hating the for being popular.

Will then you have to admit that Harry is like every superhero before him he has sidekicks. The super hero character gets all the credit though his friends do all the work. But if you look at ending of the forth book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He was up against Voldermort alone. He had no help except for the ghost of those who were killed by Voldermort. But on the whole I find that everyone is working towards to common goal to destory Voldermort and like Voldermort's followers. Harry's friend are helping to destory him. But in the end it will be Voldermort and Harry. As you know Voldermort uses his death eaters too, to try and destory Harry Potter and they don't get credit for setting Harry Potter up for the kill as found in the books, Harry Potter and the Secert Chamber, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. If it had not been for Snape over hearing the prophecy or bits of it about Voldermort and Potter and of course there is Wormtail who told Voldermort where to find the Potter family then there wouldn't be a story. If Voldermort was such a powerful evil wizards he wouldn't need spys to set up Potter for the kill.

ok, have you ever even read the books or watched the movies? ron is not as brave as harry. ron is a big, whiny pansy, and most of the time his cheap, broken wand or his incorrect magical incantations effs everything up. however, i will concede that hermione is smarter and better than harry, but she's a girl so no one would honor her, plus she's a nerdy, know-it-all witch (no pun intended) with a capital b.
irregardless, he's famous, so is paris hilton and she didn't accomplish much. at least harry is "the boy who lived" through a horrible curse when no one else could survive. maybe it's a stupid reason to be worshiped, but it's fiction. if you had survived an atom bomb being dropped on your head with nothing more than a mushroom-cloud-shaped scar on your forehead, people would think you're pretty neat, too.

Well, you seemed all worked up about a fictional character!
When I read the Harry Potter series, Ron, Hermionie, and others help Harry. Dumbledore even gave points to Neville for standing up to his friends.
In the other books, Ron, Hermionie and Neville all help Harry. As do the Weasleys. They give Harry the family love and support he doesn't get from the Dursleys.
Perhpas you need to speak to a counselor about this anger you have towards fictional characters.
Sad, really.

Most of my points have been brought up by the answers above, but I have to say that in the books Harry says the SAME THING that you're saying. He says that there was almost always help, and he just blundered through it all, and that that's not a good reason to be famous. He's humble, and that's what makes him such a good character.

Because he is a natural leader and people rally behind him. Do you think Hitler killed a ton of people in concentration camps or personally droped bombs on people? No but hes credited with being the guy that did it all. That is why when you read about Harry you get the impression that it is him doing all this stuff....because hes a good leader.

OK, I think you missed a great deal of the story.
you can read in the books several times that friends are helping Harry all the time - he even confessed to Hermione that he shouldn't teach them because they had always helped him
where did you get this idea from?

Everybody always assumes that because Harry survived Voldemort so many times that HE does all his work himself. (The others don't know that Ron and Hermione help him.)
