He basically has to cover his tattoos..(i know because my boyfriend plays football and he wears long sleeve shirts for this reason)
Apparently it's not a good image for the youngsters to follow.

Synthetic fibers are recommended for hot humid weather, that's what all major sports brand use for their performance wear. But the idea is that they will wick the moisture from your body. If you get sweaty and the fabric absorbs that sweat, it may change the color of the fabric (dark pits) and it may hold any odors. Linen or cotton blends at probably your safest bet. Definitely avoid silk, it is an incredible insulator and you'll be burning up. Hope this helps!

because he's a painstakingly fussy metrosexual,who doesn't want to get his elbows dirty with grass stains or dirt,if he were to fall.
