Because, they are men who have been fed such a line of bullsh*t that they don't think it a crime, or that they will be held accountable. They are not any worse than the American public who turn a blind eye to atrocity and discredit those who disagree.

As of today, at least some of the people who have done these things have been arrested. I pray that our government really holds them accountable and makes them a prime example of true justice rather than a slap on the wrist.

As for PTSD..the key word is POST..seems to me that rape and killing children would come before trauma..should really give a 'man' something to think about. Real men don't rape women or kill children! Cowards do!

You should ask the more relevant question, 'Why do Iraqi's lie and claim that Americans rape women and Kill innocents, the answer it to recruit more terrorists. Our troops are the most strictly watched, most disciplined soldiers in the world, they do not act this way, I was there for a year and never saw any activity like this, or even close. It is foolish to believe every story that gets bandied about.

In the Arab culture lying about and too foreigners for profit is as sacred as walking to Mecca.

Why are they allowed to have honor killings, which are always men killing women?

I don't believe ANY American soldier raped an Iraqi woman unless I either see it or hear a confession! As for killing Iraqis, if anyone was killed, they were probably either collateral damage, or looking really good for a sneak bomb attack.

What few cases are proven are blown out of purpotion and some people assume all soldiers are alike. What about what the Saddam soliders did huh? What about what the terrorists are doing? Do you have any proof of your claim (and even if there were isolated incidences, what about all the other troops that would never do those things)? There are men and women of the military dying every day so that you have the freedom to be on here asking stupid questions. Try showing some respect to people that give their life for our country.

In the terror of actual combat, the frustration of not finding 'the bad guys', I am sure that some soldiers just fire, and don't care who it hits.

In the same vein, soldiers are taken from our society, in our society there are those who rape, therefore some of the soldiers are capable of rape, and this may be heightened by battlefield 'mental' conditions.

I dont think they do. I think these are accusations designed to embarrase our marines and to hurt the war effort. I also think many leftist americans want it to be true because they hate america, and want us to fail. I think the way you worded this question is evidence of that, you didnt say alleged. You have our soldiers tried and convicted before the investigation is completed, let alone a trial. Ur pathetic.
