double standard set by the society works for and against women. in these instances such as murder, since women are deemed to be weaker and more prone to emotional impulses, they do get away with murder.

Most women that commit murder are "battered". They have taken so much abuse at the hands of their spouse that when they finally snap, their brain really does "Snap". Most of the time the abuse is documented by the police or their friends & neighbors are aware of it. So when she finally kills her spouse (or bf, or baby's daddy), most people see it as "he had it coming", or self-defense on her part. There are many people that don't care for a "man" that beats up a woman - there's absolutely no justification for that. He should just walk away while he still can. A real man would NEVER puts his hands on a woman to hurt her!!
Now if a woman kills a man, just to kill him, then no, she won't get away with it either.
This is why we have an established court system to decide, depending on the circumstances, evidence, and state of mind a person was in at the time, whether or not the killing was justified or senseless.

Quoting your source article: "The earliest she could go to trial will be October." This isn't even proof that the woman in the article 'got away with it.'
Your source doesn't assert anything about men not getting away with murder.
I assert that since men commit more murders than women, they get away with it much more than women AND not all women get away with it.
We all agree that there are women convicted and in jail for murder, right? So, no sources needed for that one.
Men commit more murders:
From Source 1 below:
Most victims and perpetrators in homicides are male
Male offender/Male victim 65.2%
Male offender/Female victim 22.6%
Female offender/Male victim 9.7%
Female offender/Female victim 2.4%
So men commit 87.8% of murders, women 12.1% (rounding error)
From Source 2:
The Murder Conviction rate in the US is between 40% and 60%.
Now there are no breakdowns of conviction rates between men and women, but if the worst case scenario were possible, if all women got away with their murders (12.1%) and if the least number of men did (40% of the 87.8%) That's still 35%! Almost three times the percent of women!

perhaps that a lot of women who commit murder do it unintentionally, which makes the act homicide and not murder.. men are known to be more agrressive than women, the more reason to suspect them. also, murder is premeditated. it is planned beforehand. men are known to plan ahead. there are a lot of men engineers, doctors, architects, scientists. these professions require the ability to think ahead. men who commit murder share the same instinct. women are more emotional. they do things in the spur of the moment. so when a woman kills, it is more likely that it isnt on purpose.and if it's not on purpose, then it's not murder. it's just homicide. i think that's the best explanation other things being equal (pun intended)

talking about murder. Do you realize that when and elderly person say 80 years old kills someone in a car accident they usually don't put them in jail. They take away their license and usually make them pay a fine. You just don't hear of elederly people going to jail because of that.

I have no idea. Tha report also said that she was going to coury in a few days and maybe she will be punished. There also may have been a reason she killed him. Like if he was beating her or something and she killed she could plea self defense wich would make her get away with it.

I think it is because men have spent so many years trying to say that women are the weaker sex , men are so much smarter and stronger and well that BS came back to bite men in the butt and worked out in the favor of us poor little ol' women.
