my neice just started her period a couple of months ago and is not regular yet. She is going to a camp with swimming lessons twice a day on monday and hasnt gotten her period yet. Should she use tampons at camp even if she dosent have her period just to make sure there is no accident?Or should she not go to camp until after her period so she is worryfree for a bit?

however her mom is making her go to camp even though i tried explaining it to her mom shes HAS to go to camp

I would encourage her to bring her
tampons but not to use them if she
doesn't need to. She should go to
camp and have fun. Not to stress over
it enjoy herself and meet new friends
and feeling prepared may be all she
needs. Support her and enjoy summer.

Either one is good. You can use a tampon any time, however, I would recommend she use as small a diameter as possible, and remove it after she is done swimming. If she follows the instructions on the package on how long to leave a tampon in (8 hours max), she should be fine.
The main fear with tampons is anaphlactic shock - which is incredibly rare.

she should wait to go to camp. using tampons before you have your period can cause all sort of problems.

better if she delays the camp dates. but maybe she won't get her periods this month. only those who are trained to handle their periods in a swimming pool should go. it is better to avoid a disaster.

its better if she waits because it not very health for you to put tampons on when you are not on your period
