While working in the hospital, I knew a nurse who became sensitized to latex gloves. She hated to put them on, because in just a few minutes, her skin would become red and sore, with a rash. After a while, she had to change jobs to administrative work, to protect her hands from the latex allergy.

Months later, she was brought to the emergency room in anaphalactic shock brought on by allergic reaction to mangos. The allergist who treated her told her that latex allergy is becoming more prevalent, and that mangos and avocados will sometimes cause a reaction in a latex sensitive person.

The question is, exactly what extracts of these fruits are in this cosmetic? If it is an extract, alcohol was used to dissolve the active ingredient out of the fruit. By definition, and extract is dissolved in alcohol. Can your face use the drying effects of alcohol?

The only way to tell is to try it, if your not allergic to any of these products it shouldn't be a problem, but you can go to an allergist and have them do any allergy test, where they stick you with small needles containing everything from Honey to shampoo, it's a contained area so if you do have a reaction they can help you as well.

I really do not know for sure but a dermatologist told me years ago to only use dove sensitive to wash my face because it clean's completely without drying out your face. It has cream in it, so it moisturizes. I have not been disappointed and I have not had skin blemishes in years. As he said keep it simple. Unless you have real problems, keep it simple and use a non-perfumed, sensitive cream. You don't have to spend a fortune to look your best and you certainly do not on cleaning unless you just like trying new things.

If you are allergic. I know lots of people who are allergic to Mango sap, but I would imagine that not the same as extract.

No, I have several of those types of products and they work great on my sensitive skin. What you need to watch out for is chemicals and mineral oil, not natural ingredients!
