Any type of cramps are caused by a build upof lactic acid within the muscles. Lactic acid is produces when there is not enough oxygen for the muscles to utilize in the production of ATP(energy). This can be avoided by making sure you exercise all muscle groups regularly or lt least 30 min before strain is put on that muscle group.

well i dont know what cause cramps but when you get them try stretching i always do it and it really helps
