i am in engg third year and my college is going to start soon.I am afraid to go there.Acctualy i have inferiority complex coz i feel i look bad and small in front of others in my class.I have little self confidence and i am scared that if they laugh at me or try to bully me i will not be able to defend myself.can anyone suggest me something.Please dont be rude.please tell me if i am going wrong somewhere.

Hey, I did some looking on ur profile, and if u want a true friend, enable people to talk to u through this site, by letting them chat r e-mal u....if u wish. In my view, college is very differnt compared to high school, I really doubt the students will bully or make fun of u, they have better things to do with their time. Besides, ur a third year, doesn't that mean u've been in college for atleast two? Or are u from another country, where things are a bit different?(Kerala,India, +2 is really ur first two years of college).....if so, I still wouldn't worry, u'll do fine, and when ur done, u'll be an engineer and won't have to worry about bullies...try ur best to ignore them...that's all u can do. I wish I had more advice for u. x

I don't know what engg third year is... but if you are starting college, just remember that strangers know nothing about you... so you can be confident even if inside you feel really small. People aren't as mean as you think they are... and most people that are starting college are in your situation. They don't have friends around and everything is new... Try to be outgoing and just talk to people. You'll find yourself eventually. I started college two years ago and really never ended up finding my niche, and eventually stopped going. But I found a full time job that I really like and enjoy, so I am happy anyways. Keep your mind open and you'll find your happiness eventually.

first your you and no one can change that. your not inferior to anyone. everyone is different.
if your bullied remeber bullies tend to have self image problems themselves. they often bully because they crave attention and do not know of any other way to get attention than to bully.
you need to contact the head of the college and explain your fears to him/her. ask them what there bullying policy is and if they have had any bullying issues in the recent past that may have a detremental effect on your education.
you have as i said no reason to feel inferior.
don't worry. just be happy and positive. go in like you own the place when you finally. if you look shy and nervous thats what bullies are looking for.
how do i know you may ask. well i was bullied. so i'm telling you to do the exact opposite to what i did when i waas in secondary school (11- 16yrs of age) i always look timid and a little scared that as i said is what the bullies look for.
try looking a little bit frightening in the first few months this should drive all but those who realy want to get to know you.

You need someone in your life to build your self confidence like a real good friend and hang in there things are going to be ok and don't worry adout those losers that laugh at you,you focus on college and you will have the last laugh on them. Good Luck in school.

u aint lesser than anyone remember that always u r unique and god made u that way and if someone bullys u then go ahead and give them back what they deserve dont feel shy try to be more outgoing and be comfortable in what u do dont do it because of someone else cause if u do tha u 'll end up embarassing urself good luck in trying to change

Well, see, everybody goes through this like your dad, mom, friends and nobody get out dead. :-) Lots of people are short and small, and they dont get out of college dead and used. And now those students are almost grown ups and learned enough to not bully or joke, remember that :-)

honey just remember why you are goin there it isnt for those people around you so dont let them get to you . you just go there and do what you went for and get that degree and make lots of money!!!im proud of you!!!dont let any yone or any thing stop you!!
