The general public usually focuses on the movies and entertainers to escape their own lives. Most of us can only dream. I guess that's the way it is, and will always be. I like to see a star i Denzel win the award. I like seeing Hallie win the Academy Award. I liked to see Hillery Swank win too. They came from nothing. They made something famous of themselves. I loved Bettie Davis too. I loved her talent.

i don't hate those award exhibits. I hate that celebrities could be so concepts ineffective of their style alternatives and have not the 1st clue while is composed of posing for the cameras. approximately squaddies, often times you pay attention lots undesirable stuff approximately what's occurring remote places that this is high quality to have in user-friendly terms a small 3 hour ruin to appreciate some thing so glamourous and over the best. sure they may be boring yet Conan O'Brien did a incredibly good activity at information superhighway hosting. that's a existence a lot of human beings might like. i understand i might opt to be up there on degree accepting award meaning you get formally recognized and respected by ability of your friends. the factor they do for society is they supply us a international that we're not in. this is not consistently a acceptance contest. they have rather voters and the wonderful exhibits and actors win. It additionally provides writers and directors their time to polish. possibly you ought to placed on an award coach for all those people who circulate unrecognized like rubbish creditors or perhaps you will be able to desire to easily make up an award and deliver to the police station with a thank you letter. Why do they consistently must be those contributing to society and why do not you do your section as properly.

Total self-gratification. And they are such a sham! They have to pat each other on the back when they aren't stabbing each other in the back. Awards for excellence are fine and dandy, but the entertainment industry has gone overboard with these shows.
I agree true heroes of life should be recognized. And a good way to do that would be a display of showing our military getting awards and citing what they got them for

The awards shows are another mechanism to feed the already enormous egos of these attention-craving individuals in the entertainment industry, and it's an opportunity for advertisers and manufacturers and people in the fashion industry to make more money and get publicity. On the other hand, people do love to see their favorite actors, especially in situations where what they do and say is unscripted.

It's like awarding the Honors student a plaque and giving the Football Quarterback a trophy. They are being honored for their acheivments in areas where not many people can suceed. Acting is an art - they derserve a night to be awarded for all of it without money or fame; just an acknowlegment at their pure talent.

I agree, there should be award shows for more important things, than watch these celebrities get these things for no reason , and while some of them treat some of the people that are smaller than them like crap, there should be an award for the people that actually change something in the world,or did something to derives it.

They give awards because the public watches the shows....I do like award shows, but I also agree with your points. I also think that there are way to many award shows, and they are getting to be very boring. The only award shows I really like are the Oscars ( but they are getting really boring lately), the Grammys, and the Tonys.

A lot of industries have awards nights. Just nobody televises them. If you want to reward all the people you think should have award shows then go and do something instead of the cynical whinging that you poured into this.

Exactly, I don't get why people even watch awards shows. They never recognize peoples real contributions.
