Alan Keyes is not an Uncle Tom, he is someone who doesn't play the blame the White man for everything game like Jesse Jackson.

Jesse Jackson is a Con Artist who needs to go live in Nigeria.

It is racist (whether you are Black or white) to call a Black man an uncle Tom because he will not conform to your political stereotype of what a black man should be.

Nathan- Yes it is. You are giving him a label because his political view "doesn't match the color of his skin" (in your eyes). That's racism my freind, even if you're the same race. Why would he hate minorities if he is a minority himself? He has never done or said anything for people to say he hates his own race.

You are saying that Blacks are traitors and nobodys unless they share your political views... just because they're black.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."- Martin Luther King

because we don't need a "progressive"; we need a relaible conservative
Alan Keyes isn't filled with hate; he isn't hypocritical; he isn't an uncle Tom and he COULD win a seanate race. The problem is that the voters here in Maryland and later on the voters in Illinois made the big mistake of not electing him.

professionaleccentric: So, what does that make the state Republican party of Illinois? Do you know that Keyes was such an embarassment to them that they stopped inviting him to party functions during the campaign? That Keyes had to "break in" on party fund-raisers and hold his own "press conferences" because the state Republicans didn't want him anywhere near them? Keyes is no Republican. His ideas of a national theocracy, and banishment of homosexuals are far more radical than any sane Republican would dream of.
