try eyelash extensions, unlike the traditional false eyelashes where you glue the whole row of lashes to your skin, with eyelash extensions they glue synthetic lashes on your own natural lash to make your lashes look longer and thicker, its great because you dont have to wear mascara, and it will last about 4 to 6 week, and all you need are touchup appointments, and it looks really natural, people cant even tell, go to local salons and ask around for an eyelash extensionist, its still really new to the scene, but there should be no problem finding a person that is certifide to do them ..email me for any questions!!! good luck!!

I've never worn false eyelashes before, but I see nothing wrong with wearing them. Just if you do decide to try them, make sure to keep the things (lash set, glue, applicator, etc.) scrupulously clean as befits ANYTHING you'd put that close to your eyeball. I'd also try the look out beforehand just so you're sure you like the way it looks, feels comfortable and to get your application technique down pat. Whatever you do, have fun at your prom! (Hah, I never went to mine, and I vaguely regret it...) EDIT: Arggh, I probably should have answered you question, shouldn't I? Mmm... well there could be bad outcomes, you might be allergic to the glue, you might accidentally apply a bit too close to your natural lashline and end up ripping a few lashes out (although as I'm typing this, I should think there was something that would dissolve the glue safely should it get on something by accident), and if I keep thinking, I can probably think up of more things that CAN go wrong... but they're probably pretty improbable, I think you'd be safe if you just fully read the instructions on the glue and the lash packing.

Ouch that hurts, I did the same thing one time, and I did just that, used fake eyelashes. They actually have single lash ones that can be put in the area where you are "tempoarily bald" and then it doesn't look so bad or fakey.

Check at a salon, I am sure you could find those, this was a "few" years ago, but by now they probably have something even better. Good Luck!!!

Nina,
hey , i dont think there bad , if your real eyelashes(which are naturaly more beautiful) are too thin for now you should wear the fake ones which are not bad as long as they are temporary, but after the real ones have grown back it would be good to remove the fake and continue usng your original ,i when you take them out again dont forget to only remove a litle.Hope they grow back,Good luck.

I don't like full false eyelashes--they're a little too much. But you can get those individual false lashes that might help to fill yours out in places where they're thin. Just have a professional show you how to apply them--those little buggers can be a big pain if you don't know what you're doing. I certainly wouldn't fuss with them everyday, but for a big event or occasion, those would be good.

Well it depends on how big the fake ones are. If you decide to go with fake go with small ones that could pass as real lashes. you can get them at any place that sells make-up. like walmart target cvs, walgreens. If you can't find them there try a costume shop. If you have trouble finding small ones you can always cut them to the size you want. Good luck.

Bad! Every time you take off the fake lashes it pulls out some of your real ones. You end up with less and less real eyelashes! I would stick with curlers and mascara.

Don't use fake lashes, like the other two said they look fake and tacky, and they fall off a lot. Just try a different mascara, maybe one with more lift and volume, and try to put on a little more coats, and see if that helps. Otherwise, stay away from the fake lashes.

AS long s they look natural, wear them Too long & thick will not look good (unless you are on stage). You can getthem at any drugstore or for higher end go to Nordstrom/ Saks or Niemans

If you have the means you can also have lash extensions put in!! Any major salon/spa will do that!!

Artificial lashes could help you with this. But don't use store bought lashes, they do look fake. here is website to check out. These are applied one by one and look very natural. I'm a stylist that does apply lashes. the best ones are.

Stay away from lash curlers.
