I've noticed people keep repeating this question and I've been wondering about the same thing myself since the first night I stayed up all night to answer questions.

I think I've figured at least part of it out....

I spend a lot of time answering questions in the category of mental health because I'm a mental health consumer and former mental health professional and there seems to be so many people asking serious questions needing help and I feel useful again for the first time since before I gave up working in the field. (And I do have a LOT of experience to draw from in answering questions!)

And I get distracted by political questions because I'm passionate on the subject and it upsets me to hear what some people say- I just feel the need to give them my 2 cents worth of opinion.

But tonight I realized that there are just so many sick, ill-informed people out there who will put anything down as an answer- and I feel the need to balance it out with sensible, balanced, intelligent replies.

I really worry about the level of intelligence, and even more the level of compassion of many of the people who give answers. Do they truly represent the people in this country? Sadly enough, I have reason to believe they do.....

I am too and I don't quite understand the pull either. When my husband takes the computer to work, I miss it all day and actually figured out the old one upstairs so I could get on it. I think about getting on it when my dad is here talking about the same stuff over and over for hours. Why do we do this? It's weird!

Because you have nothing else to do. I suggest Yahoo! Games if you still want to be online, but not on Yahoo! Answers.
