i was like a kindergardener when i watched this show, i liked it alot. But what i don't like are the later seasons. I love the first season. That's the one they showed on tv before canceling it. It was later on that i figured out i like the genre of anime (like three years ago)
And i like the song "Fighting evil by moonlight, fighting love by daylight... you can always count on her as a frie-end, always to the e-end, she's the one, SAILOR MOON!!"

I started watching Sailor Moon when I was in middle school. I'd get up early in the mornings to watch the DIC version on tv before I went to school. Since then I've seen nearly all of the episodes, including the StarS season which hasn't been released in the US.
I always loved Sailor Moon because it was about girls who were saving the world. It wasn't just the boys who could help make the world a better place, girls could do the same and help people too whether they were in sailor fuku or a volunteer uniform.

It had such a great story. It had romance, comedy, drama, action, adventure and other genres packed into one show. It was fantastic. When I first started to watch it, I couldn't get enough of it. Personally, I like the Japanese version of Sailor Moon better because it was uncensored and voice actors made the characters come to life. It was like education of Japanese culture, if you didn't know that much about it. I'm still a fan and I now have all the seasons in Japanese.

I'm a fan of this show to this day. I perfer Naoko Takeuchi's original story better, more Usagi and Mamoru going on in that and Mamoru wasn't as nearly as big of a jerk, but one reason I'm a fan is because I enjoy the idea of young girls saving the world from the forces of evil, however ridiculous they may be.
The real reason I'm a fan of this show is because of the voice talent that put it together. Every single one of the japanese voice actors just brought the characters to life. Needless to say there was only one time when a voice was changed in the japanese version as well. (And that was only because Kotono Mitsuishi, the voice of Usagi, was out for health reasons at the end of the first season. She finished the series though.)
For those of you who haven't seen the japanese version, it's WAY better than the dub and you get more footage and episodes that way.
