The bigger icon is definitely Mariah. Brittany popularity near Mariah's. I mean yeah Brittany is well known but Mariah has been out since i don't know when. Hands down if you ask who's better most people are going to say mariah. Because of all that she has accomplished. Especially in these last two years. Not that many people can make a come back like she did. The bigger icon is Mariah.

How old are you people? Mariah Carey has been around probably longer than you've been born, and she has REAL talent. Just because she was gone for awhile doesn't mean she is not better than Britney. Britney should be pitied because she has been glorified for her looks not talent. She cannot sing, I don't know why she even has a career other than everyone pimped her out for their own gain..now look at her!......Mariah is the best!

Mariah hit Diva status a long time ago, so I'd say that she has more experience at being in the limelight. Britney is overexposed with her trailer park family image, so I don't think that she can be considered a Diva. (then again, Whitney was a Diva, and now look at her)
