i agree. the panthers have shown nothing less than excellence and are destined to meet up with the colts next year i the superbowl. there team is exactly that a team. there are stars but the the panthers are built around the no man is an island concept. everyone plays their role and no one tries to out do anyone else like in other teams.

They certainly are a very good team and have just as good of a chance of reaching the SB as any other team
However can Steve Smith produce the same numbers as last year.Is Foster capable of carrying the load all season long.Their will be health issues as well especially on defense.I like the Panthers chances I do think they will reach the playoffs. SB? That would be nice to see.
Im Sorry I must add this comment. The Colts are not reaching the SuperBowl.I need not explain why because everyone allready knows why.
Here is a clue P.M.

NFL.com agrees. It has Carolina and Indianapolis at the top of the 32 teams.
That would be a FANTASTIC game. The problem is....Carolina has TWO star running backs right now, and Colts have 0. Foster was on a roll after Davis went down and out and now we have Williams, arguably the best running back in numbers, although Bush clearly has the spotlight over him. I hate that Bush is so hyped up, it takes more than one player to win.
Carolina's season is looking tough, but with the weapons they just got, and the weapons they have returning, add in the #3 defense of last season that improved despite the loss of Will Witherspoon, wow...just wow. I am so excited for this season to start.
GO CAROLINA!!!

Yes! Remember no team has ever went to the bowl by winning 4 road games in a row! Not even the Panthers! and to this first guys remark. Let me say, Jake Dellome, Steve smith, Julius Peppers, mike rucke,r keyshawn johnson, deshawn foster, and there are many more, it is true the Carolina Panthers are in Charlotte NC whice is the second largest banking city in the USA and they will win a bowl. Dont forget Carolina has the stanly cup this year. will be great to have the vince lambardi in the same year!!! GO Panthers!!!

They got a good team but who knows in the NFL. No one on SportsCenter last year predicted the Steelers to win the Super Bowl and if they tell you they did - they are a stinking lier.
Favorites last year included Carolina, Indy and New England

It's hard not to agree... They probably are going to take the NFC South, and if that happens look out !!! They still have the best front 7 in the NFL, and a pretty good O Line to go along with Steve Smith, Keyshawn Johnson, and Keary Colbert. The run game will be potent as well with the one two combo of Deshawn Foster and DeAngelo Williams. I like their chances this year to go deep in the playoffs, if not win the Super Bowl !!!

Based on the way the ESPN Guys were grading teams, Carolina was definitely the best because they are sound in every phase of the game. Good QB, Decent Rush Offense, Great Receivers, and a nasty Defense.

I dont know why, it seems to me that every year everyone and their mother pick the Panthers to win it all. It's been that way for the last 4 years. Every year they always seem to come up short.
Well, this year it will be no different. In the past maybe it's because of injuries or players that choke at the proper time. They would be lucky to be in the playoffs this year.

I think Carolina will be good, but let's not forget that these are the people who apparently feel Dan Patrick is still amusing and for some reason allow the 'tard brothers of Skip Bayless and Jay Mariotti to appear on their airwaves almost every day. I wouldn't get too overly tied up in their opinions...

Although the gang at Sportscenter know what they are talking about since they make their living on this, it's been awhile since any of those guys have hit the nail on the head with their preseason picks. Maybe this year, they've gotten back on the winning track. We'll see, huh?
