The Target brand are pretty much the same shape as Pampers in my opinion, so if Pampers work well for your baby, I'd go with those. Luvs are shaped like Huggies. The really cheap brands like White Cloud and Parent's Choice are too thin in my opinion. The baby goes even a tiny bit and they have to be changed (which is hard if you have a boy because they only go a tiny bit at a time rather than all at once like a girl).

Sometimes, the cheap ones are not always the best. Best suggestion is to try different ones, and stick to the ones that you see work the best with your child. You will go through a whole bunch of them, you will definitely have time to try many brands.

Define "cheap". I use pampers but I don't have to change my baby every fifteen minutes to prevent leaks, and I don't have to do a boat load of laundry every day. I think when they're tiny and pooping constantly the cheap ones are okay, but I would rather not end up with a rashy soggy baby all the time.

I agree about the walmart brand... used to be called dri-bottoms... Now called PARENTS CHOICE. I have used these with both my boys and they work great. I would never have tried them had I not gotten them as a gift. I love them. They run a little small, so you have to go up a size before you would a brand name.

I used the store brand at walmart and they worked great for my boys (boys seem to be harder because of their wee wee getting hard when they pee, so it can go straight up and out of the diaper) I think they were called Dri-Bottoms.

cheapest diapers are the reusable ones.. cloth..

my favorite are ones that are reusable but shaped with velco so you dont have to fold them you just put them on... this is most environmentally friendly which as a parent is something you should be VERY concerned about...

I used disposable at night.

I love Kroger Ultra-Comforts. (A case of size 5 has 80 diapers, and costs $15.99 in my area...Atlanta.)
