because boxers are made to ride above the hip bones and most pants are made to ride below the hip bones ore their bellys make them ride that low.

Most guys don't. It's a youthful thing. It's just a style, nothing health related. However, it is true the if the boxers fit loose, they tend to slip down...by wearing them above the belt, they won't slip. That's still not a health issue.

Guys wear their boxers higher most of the time to really get an extra sense of comfort for their "big" or "little" (depending on how blessed you are) man downstairs. In the heat of summer it often gets stuck to my thigh personally.

Well gee, I wonder if could possibly be because they see it on music videos and think it's cool? DUH! Teenage boys are just as insecure as teenage girls are, so when they see media portrayals of men who they objectify as "cool" wearing certain types of clothing styles they emulate that behavior in the hopes that they will appear more "cool" to their peers and become more accepted into the group. You might as well ask why do women wear make up or why do so many teenage girls have eating disorders? When you provide an impressionable person (like most teenagers are) with constant portrayals in media format of what it is that they "should" look like, act like, talk like, listen to, eat, wear, whatever, and you do it loud enough and often enough, then eventually the sheep will come to the feed-bin baaaahhhh.

We have become a nation of sheep. It gives new meaning to the phrase "Monkey see...monkey do!" How else do you explain all those goofy piercings and tatoos? Individuality my a**! It's simply whatever the latest fad is!

I think there are two main reasons, first they do it unintentionally and the second cause they think its cool, fashionable and that girls like it, which is not always true, eh?

I won't know, personally, but I've been to Malaysia, and all teenagers there have their pants like that. They say it's 'melondeh', and that it looks cool. But sometimes, it's done unintenionally. like when your belly forces it down.....
