Johnny Hallyday - probably the greatest of the French rockers. Pick up a cd of some of his stuff from the '60's - you might not be able to understand the words unless you speak French, but hey, good rock and roll is great no matter what language its in. You might also check out - and I hope this is spelled correctly - Eddy Michel (think its pronounced Eddie Michelle).
