It takes place in Africa. A pilot throws an empty coke bottle out of his plane while flying overhead. THe tribe there thinks the gods sent it. They use it to help them with work and to provide entertainment, but then everybody wants it at the same time. They start stealing the bottle from each other and using it to hurt each other. The leader decides to go to the end of the world to give it back to the gods and ends up having a few adventures.

It's "The Gods Must be Crazy" indeed. The Coke bottle is like the one phone line or one computer in a house. Nobody needed it a long time ago, and now everybody needs it.

Yes, that's the name of it. There's actually a sequel, "the gods must be crazy part 2" but its not as funny as the first one. The scene when the dude finally finds his 2 sons makes me cry every time.
