Noted in Calendar section in the latest edition of the WWE Magazine, it states that John Cena will be defending his WWE Championship at SummerSlam. The only scheduled match that features John Cena in WWE championship bout would be the one that will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event which would mean he would have to win it at this event. (Thanks to reader Nate for sending that along.)

Lets hope not...even though edge is a heel...I would like to see him have the title longer than 2 weeks. Cenas time is over...Even though I am a Cena Fan, it is time for someelse to have it.

i think that would suck, because a lot of the fans are tired of seeing him as the champion, myself included. it is reall getting old. i was supposed to go to SNME but i might not if he is going to win the belt. he is supposed to be the fan favorite, but people are BOOING him, they should just put the title on Edge, at least people are supposed to boo him.
I think we've CENA-nuff of john cena as champion.

All of the cards are subject to change. That calandar was printed months ago when he was the champ for real. So just because it says that doesn't mean it will happen.

he will be ok. they are going to likely have both Cena & Ryback off of raw for an episode, and proceed the feud later. this isn't the perfect of their feud notwithstanding. To be continued...
