I believe if the BNP ever managed to manipulate the voting process in the way the Nazi's did. Nick Griffin would die his hair black and grow a little moustache. I am biased though even though born in Britain as were my parents and grandparents because my great grandparents came over from Mayo in the republic and i am a catholic i will be classed as a Tarrier(irish insult) well i think they should be banned ASAP before they grow strong enough to do any proper harm to our country and it's people. What do you think? in the same way the KKK spreads hate the BNP does the same a few years ago a young black boy named Damilola Taylor was set upon by some of it's supporters three to be exact they butchered this kid for the colour of his skin to me this cant be condoned we must fight facism now! smash the BNP

Before i forget to mention if you go back far enough i am sure most of their members ancestry will not be from Britain either think about it in the days when Rome ruled England and Brittania when the only part of Britain not conquered was Scotland the Romans surely must have spawned some offspring as did the vikings and may others over the years when it comes down to it weare all imigrants so wheredo you start eh? how do we treat a Man who wasborn in Britain worked all hisdays speaks only one language English when asked his national anthem say's it is God save the Queen but has Black skin? do we just turf him out? no we dont as his skin has nothing to do with it he is as British as any other with white skin. And while ae are at it what about French ancestry would they turf them out too even though they might be white? in my mind the BNP would solve this by similar methodology to the Nazi's and must be stopped do they not understand unity is strength and all they do is divide.

In the last bunch of local elections in the UK, the greens made far more gains than the BNP, but the media concentrated on the BNP because the copy is more gruesome and so more useful for selling papers.
I believe in the "self destructive nature of evil".
I believe that people with criminal records, especially for violence or fraud, should not be able to seek public office. Current laws are too soft in this regard for lots of reasons, the BNP being only one reason of many. I don't believe the BNP itself should be proscribed. That would be to their advantage. What they crave is publicity, which they would get in spades if they were banned. They know they will never have power - influence can only come through making a noise.
Having said that, if they ever did, I'd be willing to take up arms to protect equality and democracy. I think most people I know would.
PS, especially to EJT: they are not nice people. They do not preach fairness in any credible way. They have great difficulty finding candidates to field because of existing restrictions on people with convictions. Griffin sometimes manages to make them sound reasonable but the truth is just a millimetre below the surface. They're really not so very far from the KKK.

it is a eye-catching one. we are meant to stay in a liberal democracy, yet a similar those who spout liberality favor to limit those whose perspectives at the instantaneous are not on brotherly love with theirs. If the liberal consensus is this kind of fulfillment there might want to be no reason to limit the BNP because it is going to in idea be rejected wholeheartedly on the pollbox. yet is there a liberal consensus anymore ? The monetary device is in a nasty decline, mainstream politicians were shown to be grasping, venal and corrupt, the present political device slightly too clubby without real democracy. If the BNP flourish that is purely no longer because each individual is in contact in it yet because they have been so repulsed by the persons they're meant to vote for. in my opinion i imagine all political activities might want to be abolished and we may be extra efficient off below a benevolent dictatorship, yet that ain't useful as no dictatorship ever continues to be benevolent. i do not comprehend the answer yet banning isn't the answer.

Ouch sensitive one this!
Obviously in a perfect world we would all love each and live in harmony etc but this will never be.
In the free world you should have every right to turn round and say "I hate you" this is free speech and anything else would dangerously steer toward communism.
However if I turn round and say I hate you who is gonna help me kill you and your family etc then this has gone past opinion and is illegally endangering the live of other human beings and must be stopped at all costs.

If Abu Hamza is guilty of preaching and inciting race hatred then so should the BNP or else it becomes a case of double standards. One rule for non-whites and another for Whites.
Personally, I think people should be allowed to say whatever they want as there are sufficient safeguards already in place but when people move from words to action, then it is time to act.

Yes the BNP should be stopped before they can do the worst kind of damage to innocent people just because they are different from them ie colour of skin or what religion they follow.
I have always viewed the BNP and their kind as dangerous mindless thugs who should not be listened to.

Whilst not agreeing with the policies of The British Nationalist Party ( full title for benefit of our American friends) We must recognise the fact that they are a legitimate political party of the U.K. and as such are entitled to their views, this is what is known as democracy

no if you ban them they become free speech martyrs and would generate sympathy. Better to have their filth in the open so we can all show them up to be the racist nazi biggots they are. The council wards that have elected them are already ealising what a mistake they have made in voting for them as they have shown themselves up to be completely incompetant.
Fight facism by all means (ill join you all the way) but keep it in the open, we dont want a secret underbelly corrupting our youth where we cant see them

No. They are not preaching hate. They are trying to fight for fairness and I really wish that people would find out facts before saying things like that. I think it is perfectly reasonable that the BNP don't want to put immigrants first and that they want to make sure things are ok for the British before throwing money around at the "minorites". It is not just that though. They also want to give more help to lower income families and actually encourage mothers to stay home withtheir children. If you think these are bad ideas then that's up to you. But this doesn't sound like the KKK or th Nazis to me.

While Islamofascist scum like Abu Hamza are free to preach anti-western polemic to whoever is dumb enough to listen to it, it would be hypocritical to totally ban the BNP. (Labour's obsession with political correctness is threatening to drive many people into the hands of such far right organisations). Alternatively, you could always vote UKIP. They are a party who embrace patriotic values without being racist or jingoistic.

Education of the masses is needed as it is through ignorance that these organisations gain power. People need to be tolerant of their neighbours and when separatism takes over thats when the problems begin.
