How can I do a search to find the download affected and remove it.

There's nothing wrong with using limewire....If you don't want a virus or spyware scan any file you download from limewire or any other P2P network first with your Anti-virus program before opening.
Note do not download any file called exe. "executable file".
Go to www.download.com and download Avast or AVG they have free version (home edition) use it to scan each file you download and scan your intire pc also.

Limewire is a known source of virus/spyware.
DO NOT USE IT!

I got a virus from Limewire that crashed my whole system. I lost everything. Cost me $200 to get it fixed.
