Your doctor should have told you that the pill is only 98% effective. That means yes, you have a 2% chance of getting pregnant even if you take the pill correctly. Abstinence or radical hysterectomy are the only 100% sure fire methods of birth control. Even a man with a vasectomy can still release sperm, my brother is a vasectomy baby and my sister is a pill baby. If you don't want to abstain or get a hysterectomy, then you should also use a condom even though you are on the pill. Remember that the pill does not prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, so not only are you decreasing your chances of getting pregnant on the pill by also using a condom, but you are also reducing the chances of contracting an STD.

Pills are only around 98 % effective.
I was on the pill when I was younger and my Dr. switched brands and never told me you had to wait a full month after switching brands to become protected and I ended up pregnant.
I thought I would try the pill again 10 years later(different brand). My new Dr. assured me that she had never seen anyone get pregnant on the pill twice. Plus, there have been tons of advances in pill technology in the last 10 years and I wasn't switching brands mid cycle...My 3 year old is proof of how well that worked out.
I now have my tubes tied and even that isn't 100%.
There are many reasons the pill might not work. Missing any..even 1, not taking them the same time each day, medications. Make sure you talk to your Dr.

Yes they are still not 100% effective, the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence. I believe pills tend to be about 99% effective, but there is always that chance. It all depends what type of pill you are on, if you take it regularly and at the same time everyday as prescribed, if you use other protection also, how your body reacts with it, and if you are on any other medication that contradicts it's efforts. Good luck!

Yes there is, and I have a beautiful little girl to show for that! You are actually supposed to take your pill at the exact same time every day, some people will actually be able to get pregnant if they do not do this. I suggest setting a repeating alarm, say on your cell phone so that you remember exactly when to take them.

Yes, it is absolutely possible. One of my good friends got pregnant while on the pill, and she never missed a pill. It is not too common, I don't think, but it certainly can happen.

Yes, medications including antibiotics reduce the effects of the pill. Make sure to use backup protection.

None, he gave Neo a decision, he says: that's your final threat. After this, there is no turning back. you're taking the blue pill - the story ends, you awaken on your mattress and have faith despite you desire to have faith. you're taking the purple pill - you reside in Wonderland, and that i instruct you the way deep the rabbit hollow is going. of direction, Neo chosen the purple one. you notice, this is all approximately options.

Yes! They are not a 100% and if you are taking any other medications prescribed or over the counter they can make your b/c null and void.
