is anybody here thrilled to see eli roth's hostel 2? i heard this time, it's going to be 3 girls, and paxton (jay hernandez) is gonna be back in this sequel.

yeah... it's in production now. :)
the movie starts where the first one ends, so they say - showing paxton and how badly the events that had happened to him affected his life. after all, he was severely traumatized and he's devastated.
i think the 3 girls are exchange students (if i remember correctly, in italy). maybe paxton's gonna try and save them...
some say it's gonna come out on january next year. :)

Hostel was probably the most disturbing film I have ever seen and not sure I have the stomach to watch it again, but probably will see it as it is rare that a movie can evoke such strong emotions and admire the director and actors for being able to accomplish such a feat, even though the emotions are not positive ones. Makes you think twice about a discount trip backpacking across Europe, that is for sure!

I for one, did not like the film. I thought it was boring and empty of feeling. It had a great concept, but Eli Roth did not do a great job at portraying that concept on the screen. Sex + gore+drugs does not a good horror movie make. This was the second film by Roth that I did not like, the first being Cabin Fever. Again, good concept, horrible portrayal. I think Roth needs to lie low for a while and work on his techniques, maybe even get some advice from other directors like Sam Raimi or Rob Zombie.

in some sick way I would watch it but first one was so gross but I had to see it are you sure about he sequel ? After that why would Jay's character want to go back to Amsterdam not unless the group of sick'o's have come to America kidnapping people

i just watched hostel last night for the first time... i think a sequel could be awesome... but it could also be horrible... i hope it's as good as the first one.
