Well i love my limewire. I use it all the time and as i get these viruses i have learned. What you have to do is simply download a virus scan. See if you can specifically set it to Limewires's Downloaded Files. I did that and i know wheni download a virus before it can do some damage. Try it. McAfee is good. I like Avast the best because i get alot of pop ups and Avast tells you when that pop up contains a virus and it stops it! Yeah i would go with that one.

Yes, it is possible. I use Limewire myself, and while 95% of the time the files I've downloaded have been safe, there is that other 5% of the time that I've received a virus. Most of the time Limewire software catches the virus and offers to let me cancel the download. Just be careful.

using any p2p filesharing, you run a risk of getting something corrupted or a virus. i don't ever get file documents and i always scan. but with some seurity scans it will name limewire ans groakster and kazza as pests. there not but you should scan anyway. ive used limewire and have loads and loads of files of music and im so damn happy. so go ahead and you should have system recovery file on you computer anyway. but go ahead and have fun. also limewire will tell you if a file is corrupted and gives option of deletion too!

mp3 files cant have viruses attached to them, or atleast thats what i was told.
But limewire has given me, my family, and my friends all viruses. I believe its attached to the program when you down load it.

it can be possible to download viruses..but then again, you can catch one just by SURFING nowadays.
Just keep an up to date virus program and scan EVERYTHING you download, no matter where it is from.

p2p File sharing = virus and spyware sharing!
Install Spyware blaster and Avast antivirus to prevent many issues.
