I agree with you on the obsession with bigger and better...personally, I'm looking for just right. Eventually everyone who is looking for bigger and better will find it and realize that they still aren't happy....it's not about posessions...it's about how you live your life and treat others. The most important thing is good family and friends.

No, bigger is not always better. What I mean is this
A bigger house doesn't make a home. A bigger car, although it might make one feel important or on a different level, it doesn't change who you are. Big money, brings on more issues in itself. Being able to get by and not have to worry month to month is a good thing - with a little to save. Now for big egos - sickening! There is nothing more unattractive than someone with a big ego - yuck!

Yes I totally agree that people are obsessed with having the bigger house the nicer car etc, but you know they can't enjoy what they have just bought because they have to keep working hard and maybe 12 hr shifts to keep everything bigger and better, so in the long run what is better? the smaller house that you can enjoy and spend time with your family or the bigger and so called better life that you have to work none stop to keep up, and never see the family much?

Size makes no difference to me. I like just enough. I agree that America is obsessed with "more" and "bigger" in almost everything. It's rather sad. I have a small car, a small house and a small income, and I'm a very happy person.

Everything in moderation. Enough should be just fine. I was reading about most Europeans the other day. The article stated how they work & earn less but are much happier than most Americans. They focus on the important things in life, take life a little slower so they can enjoy the things around them, and are much more relaxed than the average American.
Moderation is the key, I believe.

Size only matters in so much as it needs to. If you need big, you need it. If you need small, you need it.
It matters in getting things in and out.
It matters in how much of something you have to have. For instance if you have six kids, yes, you need a large house. If you have one child, no you don't.
It matters in matters of fitting into something.
But in the end, what is "just right", I say it is a personal decision, some like it big, some don't.

To me, size absolutely does not matter at all. In fact, the smaller something is, usually the less it complicates your life and makes extra work for you.
My house is the smallest in the neighborhood and I love it that way.

There seems to be some underlying need to be better than everyone else. Bigger is not always better.
